Terms of Service

By downloading or using PackHelp ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. Service Description

PackHelp helps you create packing lists for trips using rule-based logic and AI-powered suggestions. The app provides weather-aware recommendations, profile-based personalization, and collaborative packing lists.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the app.

3. Subscriptions

The app offers a free tier and an optional "Plus" subscription with additional AI-powered features.

• Billing: Plus subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store. Payment is charged to your App Store account at confirmation of purchase.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access to Plus features until then.
• Price Changes: Subscription prices may change. You will be notified in advance and must agree to new pricing to continue your subscription.
• Refunds: All purchases are subject to Apple's refund policies. We do not control or process refunds directly.

4. User Accounts

You may use the app without creating an account. Signing in with Google or Apple enables cloud sync across devices. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's services or servers
• Share, resell, or redistribute subscription access
• Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation

6. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and its content are owned by the developer. Your trip data and packing lists remain yours. By using the AI features, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your trip data through Google Gemini API solely to generate packing suggestions on your behalf. We do not use your data to train AI models.

7. AI-Generated Content

Packing list suggestions generated by the AI are recommendations only. They are not guaranteed to be complete, accurate, or suitable for every situation or destination. You are solely responsible for verifying your packing list before traveling. The app does not provide travel, medical, or safety advice.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to lost or forgotten items, missed travel needs, or data loss. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amounts you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if no amounts were paid.

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings > Account > Delete Account). Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription — please cancel your subscription through the App Store before deleting your account.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer is domiciled, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in that state.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid or unenforceable provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
